The Marshall-Harrison County Health District has made us aware that a small child visited Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Hallsville on April 27 from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. while they were still contagious with measles.
Anyone at the parish during that time should be aware of the guidance from the MHCHD which can be found at https://www.mhchd.org/blog/post/marshall-harrison-county-health-district-confirms-case-of-measles-in-harrison-county-texas
Additional information about measles in Texas can be found at https://www.dshs.texas.gov/measles.
The best way to prevent measles is to be vaccinated with two doses of a measles-containing vaccine. This is primarily administered as the MMR vaccine (Source: Texas DSHS).
Thank you.

Gracias.
